Delivery from Burien, WA
Areas we deliver Ten miles around the truck.
Taquería Vela is a family-run Mexican food truck at 14003 1st Ave S in Burien, and we deliver up to 10 miles around the truck. That circle takes in a surprising amount of south King County and a good stretch of Puget Sound with it — from our own Burien neighbors to South Seattle, Renton, Kent, and across the water.

How the ten miles is measured
The radius is ten miles from the truck in a straight line. That works cleanly on land, but a few of the places above sit across open water — Vashon Island and the Kitsap Peninsula are close as the crow flies and a ferry ride away by road. Mercer Island is inside the circle too, though the drive goes the long way round the lake.
We would rather say that plainly than surprise you at checkout. Start your order online, enter your address, and you will see exactly what is available for where you are. Pickup at the truck is always an option.
What arrives
The same food, wherever it goes
Wherever your address falls inside the circle, it is the same truck cooking it. Tacos on handmade tortillas with onion, cilantro and lime. Quesabirrias pressed until the edges crisp. Burritos, tortas, sopes and huaraches. Plates of carne asada, carnitas, birria de res and enchiladas with rice and beans. Aguas frescas poured fresh.
Everything is made to order by the family that owns the truck — José A. Vela and Selene Cuevas Dorantes, cooking from recipes that came with them from Tierra Colorada, in the municipality of Juan R. Escudero, Guerrero.
