Southworth is a small community on the eastern edge of the Kitsap Peninsula, best known to most of the region as the far end of a ferry route — the boat that runs between Fauntleroy in West Seattle, Vashon Island and Southworth ties three very different places together across open water.
Measured across the Sound it is about eight miles from our truck, one of the closest points on the peninsula to us. Measured by road, it is another matter entirely.

Southworth is one of the closest points of the Kitsap Peninsula to us — about eight miles due west across the water. By road, though, the only sensible route is the Fauntleroy ferry, and the alternative is most of the way around Puget Sound.

Tortillas are handmade. Meat is your choice — pastor, asada, pollo, birria or chorizo, with tripa, cabeza and lengua available for an extra charge. Aguas frescas are poured fresh. It is the same food whether you are standing at the window in Burien or having it sent to Southworth.
