Our Story
From Tierra Colorada to Burien
Taquería Vela was founded by José A. Vela and Selene Cuevas Dorantes together with their family. Their story begins in Tierra Colorada, in the municipality of Juan R. Escudero, Guerrero, Mexico.
Guided by family traditions and the recipes of their grandmothers, they created Taquería Vela to share the food they love with the Burien community—one generous, carefully prepared order at a time.
