About Kent
Kent fills the valley floor south-east of us, where the Green River winds through what used to be farmland and is now one of the largest warehouse and distribution corridors on the West Coast. Downtown has Kent Station and the ShoWare Center; away from it the valley runs flat and wide toward the hills on either side.
Downtown Kent and the valley sit inside our ten-mile radius. The far east side of the city, up past the East Hill, starts to run out of it — if you are near the eastern edge, check at checkout.
About the food truck
One truck, one family, everything to order
This is a single food truck run by José A. Vela, Selene Cuevas Dorantes and their family, cooking from recipes out of Tierra Colorada, in the municipality of Juan R. Escudero, Guerrero. Nothing is assembled in advance, however large the order.
Tortillas are handmade. Meat is your choice — pastor, asada, pollo, birria or chorizo, with tripa, cabeza and lengua available for an extra charge. Aguas frescas are poured fresh. It is the same food whether you are standing at the window in Burien or having it sent to Kent.
What Kent orders
Kent orders like it works: substantial. Asada fries loaded with meat, sour cream and guacamole. Nachos con carne. Burritos and the Burrito California with steak, potatoes, beans, rice, Mexican salsa and cheese. Quesabirrias never last long either.
Lunch for the whole crew
